GIVE APPLAUSE FOR A VERY GOOD CAUSE
The St Albans Charity Players, who are based at the St Albans Church Rooms, Broadmead Avenue, Northampton and have been putting on amateur dramatic performances since the late 1990’s are pleased to announce that their three local charities of the year for 2011 benefited in a share of £4,500 which was raised from their productions of ‘It’s Never Too Late’, ‘A Tomb with a View’ and ‘Red Riding Hood’. This brings the amount raised for charities in and around Northamptonshire to about £25,000, only made possible by the tremendous support of the many people who come along to our performances.

2011 was also a poignant year for us with the three productions also being dedicated to the memory of one of our long standing members, Nora Trunchion, who sadly passed away on the 3rd September 2010 after being part of the drama group since 1946 celebrating 64 years of love, commitment and dedication to drama being an inspiration to all who met her. She had previously either taken part in the acting, directing or stage management of those plays.
This year’s three productions are all written by another cast member, Mr Colin Gasson, who has been with the group for 10 years, they are:
Rainy Night at Georgia’s – end of May 2012
Clueless – end of October 2012
RainbowValley– the spectacular Panto at the end of January 2013
with the two nominated charities being Northants Younger Persons' Support Group and Victim support.
Please do come along and support this year’s performances if you can.
